Shannon Grogans Shannon is a sixth-year doctoral student, Flagship & Dean’s Fellow, and NIMH F31/NRSA Fellow in the PCSAS/APA-accredited clinical psychology program. She graduated cum laude from Northwestern University in 2016 with a B.A. in Cognitive Science (Cognitive Neuroscience concentration) and Psychology, and formerly conducted research under the direction of Dr. Robin Nusslock. After graduation, she completed a Post-Baccalaureate Intramural Research Training Award (IRTA) Fellowship with Dr. Karen Berman in the Section on Integrative Neuroimaging at the NIMH. Her on-going research aims to understand the psychobiological mechanisms that underlie the development and course of internalizing illness (anxiety disorders and depression). She is also interested in the impact of acute and chronic stress exposure on neural structure and function. Shannon also serves as a Clinical Extern in the Emotion & Development Branch of the NIMH, under the direction of Dr. Daniel Pine and Dr. Melissa Brotman. CV |

Paige Didier Paige is a third-year doctoral student and Flagship Fellow in the PCSAS/APA-accredited clinical psychology program. She graduated from Swarthmore in 2020 with an undergraduate degree in Neuroscience (Psychology minor), where she completed her senior honors thesis under the direction of Dr. Cat Norris. After graduation, she served as a post-baccalaureate Clinical Research Coordinator with Drs. Dan Wolf and Monica Calkins in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania. CV

Kalina Kalinova Kalina is a first-year doctoral student in the PCSAS/APA-accredited clinical psychology program. She graduated from Sofia University in 2019 with an undergraduate degree in Psychology.. After graduation, she completed her Masters degree in Clinical Neuropsychology at Leiden University and a research internship at the University of Cambridge, working with Dr. Kai Ruggeri. CV

Menghuan Chen Menghuan is a visiting scholar and third-year doctoral student in the Cognitive Neuroscience Program at the University of Würzburg in Germany. There she is working on a project about Inhibitory control of impulsive versus reflective processes in approach-avoidance conflict under the supervision of Dr. Matthias Gamer and Dr. Prof. Andre Pittig. Before that, she graduated from Southern Medical University in Guangzhou, China where completed her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering. After graduating, she proceeded to obtain her Masters from University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China, Aarhus University, Aarhus, Denmark in Cognitive Neuroscience. She will be visiting the Shackman Lab for about 2 months. CV
